These scholarships are designed to support high performing nurses in key disciplines to undertake post-graduate study.

The Dr John Letham Scholarships for Nursing
In 2022 for the 2023 intake the area of “acute care” and “midwifery” has been chosen for these scholarships. To complement your post graduate course, scholarship funding will also cover supernumerary clinical days in the area of speciality, attendance at a Conference/Workshop and up to 5 study days. Acute care scholarships will be provided by UTAS.
These scholarships, valued at up to $10,000, will provide outstanding nurses the opportunity to channel their energy into their studies by significantly improving the affordability of their education.
About Dr John Letham
The John Letham Scholarships for Nursing pay respect and honour to a much loved former San Doctor who had a 30 year association with Sydney Adventist Hospital as a GP and obstetrician. His unfailing dedication to his patients has inspired this scholarship program in his name. Scholarship recipients are privileged to continue Dr Letham’s ministry of healing and to contribute to the Mission and excellence of Sydney Adventist Hospital.

Scholarship Eligibility & Criteria
San Foundation Cancer Nursing Scholarships
These scholarships are designed to support high performing nurses in oncology and related disciplines to undertake a further training in Cancer Nursing. Two individual scholarships are available annually, providing up to $12,500 towards course fees for Post-Graduate Certificate in Cancer Nursing.
These scholarships have been generously funded by San Foundation donors, including friends and family of Kerrie Cotton, Stan Dunlop and others. The San Foundation Cancer Nursing Scholarships are provided in honour of those patients who have experienced the unique and specialised care required for cancer patients. These special donors understand the skills, expertise and education needed to truly support cancer patients.
