San supporter Peter Blyth is again taking his challenge to the roads, riding 280km to raise funds for San Foundation.
San supporter Peter Blyth is again preparing to take his challenge to the roads to raise funds for San Foundation.
Between October 13 and 20, Peter will cycle the Sydney Spring Cycle; Recovery Ride and the Challenge Classic leg of the Bowral Classic.
This challenge is not for the faint-hearted – covering 280km with 2,800m of climbing – but as a past patient, Peter knows exactly how much his effort will help and wants to give back to those who cared for him.
"I can attest to the world-class care provided by the doctors, nurses and support staff at the San."
Funds raised will support the San's oncology massage therapist who sees close to 700 patients a year in the Day Infusion Unit and the Poon Cancer Ward. This therapy, funded by San Foundation, helps patients undertaking treatment with sleep, stress, anxiety, headaches, pain and chemo-induced peripheral neuropathy.
Peter has received amazing support from the community and is more than halfway to achieving his fundraising goal!
