Can you sew reusable face masks?

Calling all sewers! Can you help make reusable face masks?

Changes to visitor requirements at Sydney Adventist Hospital

Following an increase in community transmission of COVID-19 in Sydney, visitor requirements at Sydney Adventist Hospital and San Day Surgery Hornsby have changed.

  • All visitors are required to wear a mask while onsite
  • Visitors to Sydney Adventist Hospital must enter at the main reception on Level 4
  • Each patient may have only one designated visitor during the duration of their stay who will be issued with a visitor wristband (some specific ward exemptions apply)

Visitors are asked to bring their own mask and temperature checks and screening questions will continue to be conducted on arrival. More information on these changes, including ward exemptions, is available on the hospital website.

Our priority is to keep you safe. These changes will help the hospital care for patients, staff and visitors as we continue to work together during the COVID-19 pandemic and are in addition to hand hygiene and social distancing.

Can you help sew reusable face masks?

If you or your family are keen sewers and would like to make some masks to donate to San Foundation, we would be extremely grateful for your help. These masks will greatly help those in the community who are unable to make or bring their own reusable mask.
