Milestone in patient care: the opening of the Rosella Activity Room
Yesterday marked a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to enhancing patient care with the official opening of the Rosella Activity Room. This project, brought to life through the inaugural San Foundation Research Grant, reflects our dedication to holistic care - nurturing the mind, body, and spirit of our patients
The Rosella Activity Room is specifically designed to improve outcomes for our dementia patients by addressing their unique psychosocial needs. This carefully crafted environment is aimed at reducing the length of hospital stays, decreasing hospital-acquired complications, alleviating stress on our nursing staff, and minimizing the use of psychotropic medications and the risk of falls.
This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and expertise of Dr. Ketan Bhatt and Marleta Fong. Their hard work and commitment to improving dementia care have been instrumental in bringing this project to fruition. We look forward to seeing the benefits of their efforts reflected in future research and patient outcomes.
