San Foundation was established in 1987 as The Sydney Adventist Hospital Foundation. Our purpose is to support the hospital as it grows to meet the evolving healthcare needs of our community.
And the hospital has certainly grown. Sydney Adventist Hospital, which we all fondly call the 'San’, is now the largest private (and largest non-profit) hospital in NSW.
In the years since San Foundation was formed we have been lucky enough to do this with the support of civic-minded people who want to make a lasting impact in their community and who validate the wise words of Margaret Mead:
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
Supporters of San Foundation have helped the San become the world class facility it is now. This truly is a hospital built on care, compassion and generosity, and we are privileged to be a part of this valuable work.
